Garbage, Yard Waste & Recycling

The RM of West St. Paul takes pride in keeping our community clean.  The Municipality uses automated carts for its garbage and recycling collection program for residential customers.

NEW in 2021!!
Effective April 5, 2021 Household Garbage and Recycling Collection will occur Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

The Municipality will provide residents with bi-weekly curbside Yard Waste Collection beginning the week of May 1st and ending the week of October 31st.

Why change the schedule?
Emterra is providing a brand-new Automated Waste and Recycling Collection Truck allocated specifically to the RM of West St. Paul Program. The collection truck will collect the first waste stream (waste or recycling) and dispose of the product before returning to collect the second waste stream (waste or recycling). By modifying the schedule, the program can provide superior service to existing residents and accommodate growth in the Municipality for the future.

Please ensure that you have your garbage cart, yard waste and recycling cart spaced properly at the curb by 7:00am.

Any garbage that is too large for one man to pick up, that won’t fit into the truck, or doesn’t belong with the curbside refuse collection may be taken to the BFI Prairie Green Facility located off Prairie Green Road (one mile north of PTH No. 101 and PTH No. 7).
