Trails Legacy Program

Since 2002, the West St. Paul Trails volunteer committee has worked very hard, with Council support, to develop a recreational trail system throughout the municipality.

Council and the trails volunteers look forward to continually expanding the trail network throughout the municipality. Currently the trails are used by young and old as part of an active-living lifestyle that promotes wellness and exercise. The trails are used for cycling, walking, running and those who use mobility devices. No motorized vehicles are allowed on the trails.

This project will get a significant boost in 2016 as a result of our West St. Paul Centennial year events.

A special component of those Centennial celebrations allows and encourages residents, past residents, businesses and organizations to purchase quality cedar benches or a quality picnic table for placement along the year-round trails.

Benches can be purchased for $1,600, which includes an engraved plaque and a tax receipt. Traditional picnic tables are available for $850, which includes an engraved plaque and a tax receipt. Square picnic tables are available for $950, which includes an engraved plaque and a tax receipt.

The RM of West St. Paul will be responsible for the pickup, installation and 10-year maintenance of these benches and tables. Donors will have a chance to work with municipal staff on the location placement for the benches and tables.

This program will give your family or business a great opportunity to invest in our community.  It will be a tremendous gift to the community as well as an opportunity for friends and family to enjoy our parks and trails!

Information on how to donate to this project and beautify our community is available at the Municipal Office, or by clicking here to access the brochure.
