The Rural Municipality of West St.Paul is situated in south central Manitoba, and is found adjacent to the northern boundary of Manitoba's capital city, Winnipeg.

West St.Paul is accessible by Provincial Trunk Highway 8, which runs north of Winnipeg through the municipality, and by Provincial Trunk Highway 9, which is on the eastern side of the municipality. The municipality is relatively small (5 miles square) and is bordered on the east side by the Red River, and on the south side by the City of Winnipeg.
