Household recycling collection occurs every Thursday.
ACCEPTED MATERIALS
- newspapers (including flyers, inserts & other promotional materials)
- magazines, catalogues, telephone books
- Old Box Board - OBB (cereal boxes, cardboard egg cartons)
- #1 Plastic - PET (soft drinks bottles - remove cap and flatten)
- #2 Plastic -HDPE (plastic milk jugs, vinegar jugs - please flatten)
- #4, #5, & #7 Plastics - NO PLASTIC BAGS
- Glass Containers (all colours - including liquor bottles and glass jars) No broken window panes or glass
- Metal cans - (includes all steel cans used as food or beverage containers) Must be rinsed
- Old convention cardboard boxes (please flatten and ite (2' x 3') - unflatten boses will be left behind. Cardboard pickup is left to the driver's discretion depending on available space
- Milk cartons & tetra pac juice boxes (please rinse and flatten)
MATERIALS NOT ACCEPTED
- Styrofoam products/egg cartons
- Plastic bags - softner salt bags - grocery bags
- Rigid plastic containers - cake containers
- Broken household glass
- Hazardous products
